How close to Fallingwater are you??
10-15 minutes
Good food, can be pricey, good service
Love this place. Great food everytime! Don't forget to get some candy on the way out--you will not be disappointed!
MoreAfter a day of adventure this is a great place for good food to refuel.
Good food, nice people. We had a great time after visiting Falling Waters
Food was perfect for a cloudy, fall day!
Enjoyed the food the waitresses, (mother and daughter), made you feel welcomed.
Best food in Ohiopyle! (Well, the only food we grab while there bc the first 2 times were so dang good!) Great reasonable prices in a lovely older building right beside the falls. Just seat yourself and they'll be there to serve you fast! I had the steak salad, the falls burger recently [OMG] and my husband had the beef Reuben, and some lausanga dish another time. So good.
MoreQuaint place to stop and enjoy casual meal overlooking the babbling river and walking paths.
MoreCute store a little over priced for last minute camping and kayaking gear.
I have stopped here many times for a meal. Always good food and service.
Bizarrely rude waitress refused to seat me when I wanted to order coffee, laughed 'well, all of our tables are full for that' when there were four visibly open tables. After this, she then proceeded to wipe down the emptied seats and then all of the tables with the same towel..I'm relieved I didn't sit down, possibly order breakfast after watching this; if this is how the wait staff 'cleans' the seating areas I don't have much confidence in the kitchen following proper food handling procedures. I'm often in this area, but after the rude dismissal and witnessing the lazy, disgusting 'cleanup' routine of the waitress I won't be back
MoreWow! Food was delicious and the staff pleasant. Had a good selection of local merchandise.
MoreVery friendly staff and great food, little pricy on groceries but it's convenient
MoreThis is a neat place to be. It is close to Fallingwater, around 8 minutes from it. The waitress is the nicest lady ever and our portions were huge. They have great variety: salads, soups, sandwich, appetizers, pasta, pizza, etc.
MoreGood food. No alcohol. Reasonably priced.would go back.
Waitress told us to "Mind your own damn business " when we reported a dog in a hot car.
MoreWent for a review for work employment and the lady I spoke with was genuine and very kind. Laid back and a great person too talk with!! I highly recommend getting a bite too eat here!!!
Morefood fantastic & hearty, service top notch a must if in Ohiopyle
Amazing food! You'd never guess it'd be that good!
Great people. Food is out of this world. Desserts are excellent.
My review is based on breakfast. They have a breakfast buffet that was terrible. Food was disgusting and coffee pot that they put out was empty.Price was high even for decent food. Server was in the back the whole time. Didn’t even get my bill. I got tired of waiting and just went up to the register and told the lady what I had.
MoreGood food, at a good price.
Pretty good food and service was alright. The market is not much, but all in all a cool place.
MoreGreat place to take a break from your daily activity. The food is delicious!
This is a nice little restaurant / deli / general store. They have a good selection of souvenirs. Their prices are typical for a tourist town. The service is very good. The staff is very friendly. If you need to use a credit / debit card you need to spend at least $5. In the summer it is quite crowded. In the fall it isn't so much. In the winter it is not crowded. Check it out. You'll like it. It has a nice country feel.
MoreVisited here on the morning of 5-19-2015 on the way to Fallingwater. Delicious fresh cooked breakfast, quick service. There were only two other tables occupied that early in the morning so it was nice and peaceful.
MoreCool little country store with great service and staff
Awesome place to go! Great food, awesome service, nice location. Definitely will be going back:)
MoreWe were desperate for balsamic vinegar... it was the staple to our planned dinner, but out of stock. They were kind enough to give us a container from behind the counter and saved the day!
MoreAmazing food! The server was considerate of my dietary sensitivity, willing to share ideas for meals that would accommodate it, and also clearly had communicated my needs as I didn't become sick from eating here. Also, the restaurant is a cute old-fashioned location and a nice space to dine at.
MoreI love stopping here for a meal after a long hike, they’ve never been anything but friendly to us. Great place to grab an ice cream cone as well
MoreExcellent selection of real homade soups. I had the beef barley and my husband the ham cabbage potato. Served in a large 2 cup bowl. We also ordered a ham and cheese grilled sandwich with thick slices of good be read. Could only eat half and took the rest for lunch on the top tomorrow. Our waitress was excellent. Plenty of seating for the six of us in a large comfy open space restaurant, gift shop, and market. Going back for breakfast at 7 am tomorrow
MoreGood atmosphere but the food can be a little hit or miss. I really like the fire fly gill in the summer time.
MoreCheese fries for app, but way too much cheese on it has you can see, although they were good. Philly Steak sandwich was great, I highly recommend it. The onion rings sucked, the breading was too hard and crunchy. The waitress, oh my! She is probably the worst and friendliest waitress I have ever had. There were only 2 tables for total of 4 people, so it wasn't busy. She has about a 5 second attention span, at best. Most customers would probably get frustrated but it was comical to me. She was extremely friendly and meant well, bless her heart!
MoreGreat homely feel with small town aesthetics. Plus the food is great and the staff is wonderful
MoreWe had a bad experience at this restaurant. The manager approached us 30 seconds after we sat down and opened our menus and said are y'all ready to order. Trying to scramble and get an order in, she stated im going to come back when you are ready to order.... which was in a displeased and demeaning manner. After ordering and receiving our food, they got my wife's burger wrong, and 15 minutes later, came out with my son's pizza. the food didn't taste that good either. This restaurant is not worth our money. We just found a hair in our loaded fries. We are finished eating.
MoreThankful for the quick and easy breakfast stop off of the trail. I sat indoors, in clear view of my bicycle, as I ate from the buffet and used the washroom. Definitely stopping back again when I travel the GAP Trail.
MoreStopped in here to grab some food after visiting Fallingwater. I love this place. It's obvious that it started out as an old time general store and it's reminiscent of the wild west or a prospecting town. They have a deli and a restaurant and a general store all in one area. The food was good and decently priced for a town far from any shipping lanes. They make their own candy and fudge here as well, which I didn't try, but it looked great. The bathrooms were clean and nice. It's about the only restaurant in town and worth it
MoreNice little store/deli/restaurant. Walk in in and feels like you stepped back in time. Just enough things you need to get buy your daily needs. Everyone is friendly but takes just a little more time than you like for service. May be because it's a seat yourself place. Wife and I had the breakfast buffet. It was worth the money"$11" for all you can eat. Had lunch also which was so good. Beef barley soup was flavorful. The sandwich I had was stacked with meat on some really good bread. Had a side of tater tots were done well. Not all greasy or under cooked. Wife had a tasty veg patty sandwich that lived up to her standard. Stacked high with all the goodies she likes. " Veggie over the falls" was its name with fresh cut fries.
MoreDelicious n clean, people were friendly. Delicious soup
June 2015: Great place to stop for a meal on the way to Fallingwater. Great burger and fries. Several vegetarian options. Friendly staff. No complaints whatsoever.
MoreTheir pulled pork is excellent. I liked their coleslaw, although it was a bit too salty. French fries are not that great. It comes with friendly service.
MoreTop 10 sandwich I've had all time.
Food was good, we had the gyros and icecream. Casual and nice outdoor seating. Plus wifi! (No cell service in the area)
MoreI visited this charming little place, on my trip back from PA, for some food and was surprised when I found a breakfast buffet. It was around noon so the food wasn't piping hot, but it was still worth sitting down to rejuvenate, especially for the meager price. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was because the buffet was cold. However it was late in the morning when I sat down. You can find it on Route 381, Main St, right next to The Great Allegheny Passage across from Youghiogheny River. On the river are some nice rapids in a quiet park.
MoreGreat food and friendly people. I enjoyed my visit here and would recommend it to anyone!
MorePortions are great, servers are friendly and they have really good vegetarian options!
MoreGreat food and prices. Very friendly service.
Our bus group stopped there fora fabulous lunch. They had a buffet set up for us! If you wanted something different, they got it for you. They had homemade potato chips on the tables and icecream for desert. The view pf the falls was great!! We will return here!!!
MoreExcellent little cafe/restaurant. The service is really good, the food is very good and decently priced. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and all kinds of interesting decorations on the walls in the theme of a small-town inn/cafe.I had an Italian-style sub and my wife had a club sandwich. Both were delicious and had fresh ingredients on them. They also have a little gift shop/convenience store that has a lot of nice shirts and souvenirs and things. I didn't try the ice cream but it looked really good. Definitely would eat here again and recommend to anyone as the variety on the menu means anyone should be able to find something they like.
